Resonance of Fall - September

Every month I am posting just some of what I have been listening to over the previous month; taking inspiration from the Radiohead Dead Air Space chart. Here is the fine month of September...
  1. The Vaccines - Come of Age LP (more mature follow-up, they sound even more like a British Strokes, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing)
  2. Billy Talent - Dead Silence LP (another solid album)
  3. Fucked Up - David Comes to Life LP (hardcore punk rock opera set in 70's & 80's England, what else is there not to like!)
  4. Green Day - On the Radio (classic Green Day, before they got big they were a member of the Berkeley California Punk scene, recorded live in 1992 @ WFMU radio station. I liked ¡Uno! as well I must add, looking forward to the next two!
  5. The Vaccines - Please, Please Don't Disturb EP; free release by band (a perfect accompany to the Come of Age album, 4 stripped back covers recorded by the band in various hotel rooms while on tour throughout Eastern Europe.)
  6. Red Hot Chili Peppers - I'm With You Sessions (I can't believe I missed these; unreleased songs from last years album; and planned to be released in 9 groups of two, similar to how Radiohead did the TKOL RMX series.)
  7. Three Days Grace - Transmit of Venus LP (more straight up Rock/Metal than first 2 albums)
  8. Grizzly Bear - Shields LP (just a great band)
  9. Muse - The 2nd Law LP (overall I do like it, even it's not their best work; it is still undenyably Muse. good interview in the Guardian as well)
  10. Placebo - Placebo LP (16 years on and it's still a very accomplished debut; but this is just plain stupid)
Smell ya later!
